Who We Are

The East Austin Youth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was established in 1971 to provide the children of East Austin an opportunity to participate in youth sports while learning teamwork, building self-esteem, stressing academics and giving them valuable skills to help them succeed as they mature through life.

Over the years we have realized that through involvement in team-oriented sports, children became more self-confident, and this confidence carried over into all aspects of their lives. Therefore, our goal quickly became - and remains today - not just building better players and cheerleaders, but BUILDING BETTER PEOPLE.

 

The mission of EAYF is to:

Provide the children of East Austin with education and training in the fundamentals of team oriented sports and cheerleading;

Promote the importance of school by rewarding good performances and providing encouragement for academic improvement

Prepare children with skills, discipline and self-confidence to proceed to the higher levels of achievement in academics and sports; and

Expose children to examples of people volunteering time and talents to contribute to their community and its people.

Our organization is primarily financed by grants and sponsorships. With an anticipated increase in the number of children participating, our expenses will increase. This organization will not turn away any child, no matter their circumstance. We would greatly appreciate your support of the East Austin Youth Foundation program. Sponsorships and contributions in any amount may be made payable to the East Austin Youth Foundation. All contributions are tax deductible.
